"I've always been really interested in observing patterns in human behavior," Pierson said. "This deep passion for understanding, aligning and motivating people coupled with the opportunity to have the amazing Holly as my partner - is what gets me out of bed in the morning."
"Our services are best suited to mission-driven organizations and businesses and are designed to go beyond simply helping leaders manage change," Kelsey-Henry said. "We've worked with the Blandin Foundation, the Essentia Health Foundation, Generations Health Care Initiatives, the Duluth Playhouse, White Bear Center for the Arts, Hazelden and dozens of other organizations. Currently we are conducting a search for the Alworth Pride Fund in Duluth."
"My biggest point of pride is the team I get to be a part of every day," Pierson said. "I am really blessed to be among people who make me smarter every day. This is true of our team at Pierson Henry, as well as the teams we get to plug into for shorter periods during a retained search."
"I think the future for Pierson Henry is in supporting the evolution of the actual search process to be more inclusive and designed to serve the needs of humans," Pierson said.
"Our goal," said Kelsey-Henry, "is to establish trust, do good work and walk beside our clients every step of the way, especially in what are really trying times."
The Duluth-based executive search firm Pierson Henry is the brainchild of two experienced women, Holly Kelsey-Henry and Katrina Pierson. "Katrina and I have both worked with nonprofits and foundations across Minnesota and beyond," Kelsey-Henry said. "Our core values really aligned, and we decided to join forces to do good work in the social sector. Executive search can be very transactional, and we wanted to bring a more client-focused, human-centered approach to this work."
