Announcing Jebeh Edmunds—Pierson Henry’s New Search Associate
Please join us in congratulating Duluth, MN-based consultant, author, podcast host, mother and community leader Jebeh Edmunds in her new role as a Search Associate with Pierson Henry.
What do you love most about getting to know people and their stories?
I’ve always been naturally curious about understanding people’s origin stories. I feel that when you know someone’s personal history, you can better see their true humanity.
What do you think makes someone a truly great leader?
I believe that someone who utilizes their strengths and problem-solving skills embodies the qualities of a truly great leader. When you work as a team and solve problems together, everyone has buy-in and is more invested in accomplishing shared goals.
What do you think is missing from the way Search has traditionally been done and what role are you looking forward to playing in bringing that forward?
I believe that traditional search practices have often relied on people within existing networks and connections. Now that we are changing our mindsets to become more inclusive, search firms are beginning to question why they do not have a more diverse pool of candidates. I hope to widen the scope so that more people have the opportunity to be seen, considered, and hired.
What’s one thing you hope candidates feel after talking with you?
I hope candidates experience my transparent communication style, allowing them to make informed decisions as they move forward in their careers.
What do you hope our clients come to know about you?
I understand what it feels like to apply for new opportunities, and I understand what it takes to put yourself out there. I want to make sure the process is as smooth as possible.
What’s something you’re endlessly curious about?
I’m endlessly curious about people’s stories—where they come from, what experiences have shaped them, and how those experiences influence the way they see the world. I believe that when we take the time to understand someone’s personal history, we gain a deeper appreciation for their humanity and perspective.
And a few rapid fire, just for fun:
Lake or woods? Lake
Paper book or audiobook? Audiobook
Favorite Minnesota season? Summer
Road trip or plane ticket? Plane ticket
We’re so grateful Jebeh has come aboard to share her talents with our treasured clients and candidates at Pierson Henry.
