Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity
“Katrina and her team did a fantastic job assisting the board of directors as they went through the process of hiring our new Executive Director—a task that was not easy, but that they handled with great insight and professionalism.”
The Aim: Habitat for Humanity of Central Minnesota was undergoing significant changes, including the need to refine, recruit for and onboard a new Executive Director while also taking a critical look at its business model and opportunities for sustained funding. Katrina and her team worked with the board of directors to analyze the sustainability of its programming, its corporate enterprise (the ReStore) and fundraising events, as well as laying out a vision for the type of leader that could help sustain interest in and support of the mission in an ever- changing community. Katrina and her team made recommendations for sustainability through a community engagement positioning study, provided board training over the course of a year, and worked with a selection committee to recruit for a new Executive Director.
The Outcome: The organization hired a new Executive Director who came with a built-in passion for the mission of Habitat for Humanity and a heart for activating and uniting the diverse faith communities in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
